14,000 Liverpool fans have say on Ruben Neves for £35m as Gini Wijnaldum's replacement
Ruben Neves DOESN'T MISS FOOTY GAMES! 🇵🇹
Ruben Neves has been made available for Wolves this summer for just £35m.
For a Premier League midfielder, still only 24, with bags of experience and calibre, we think that’s pretty good value…
As a result, we asked fans to vote on whether bringing Neves in to replace the outgoing Gini Wijnaldum is a good idea…
Of the 14,000 odd votes cast, 64% thought yes and 36% thought no.
So where do we stand?
The best thing about Gini is that he’s literally never injured. But Neves is injured even less!
In fact, since 2017, when he signed from FC Porto, he’s missed just ONE game of football - and that was in this season just gone due to coronavirus.
And we can’t rule out his poor form being linked to the fallout from the illness, either…
Our main doubt would be that Neves is a little immobile. He wouldn’t cover the channels like Gini does, although he’s a good passer and a nice technician.
It’s an interesting option, but we’d probably prefer Yves Bissouma. Just.
What d’you reckon, Reds?
