For those trying out FPL for the first time, GOAL advise players to keep in mind the following ranges when tracking their scores:

“FPL gurus and seasoned managers generally agree that averaging 50-59 points every gameweek is the bare minimum target. A gameweek score between 60-75 points is considered good, and between 76-99 points are excellent. 100 points or more is an outstanding achievement that falls into winner's bracket.

“Using the gameweek's average score as a benchmark is potentially a more effective method since it changes automatically each week and makes it easier to track your progress. By attaining the gameweek's average points throughout the season, you will at least be in the top half by the end of the season.”

You’ll see weekly updates on the Liverpool players bringing in the most points on average, plus the BIG hitters from the other fixtures across the Premier League (watch out for Jacob Murphy, Mo Salah and Douglas Luiz this week!).

💬 A solid showing this week from Trent Alexander-Arnold… but don’t let it fool you - his average of 3.4 points per game puts him well behind Kieran Trippier (6.6), Sven Botman (6) and Joachim Andersen (5.7). If you haven’t already - get him out of your FPL team! The only question that remains is who you’ll replace him with!

💬 Here comes the question that will turn you all against us… is it time to sacrifice Erling Haaland in the name of the greater good? Teammate Julian Alvarez is less than half the price and has a comparable points per game total (6.3 to Haaland’s 7). You can then spread the points (as I have) to build a stronger midfield/attack… Haaland’s going to go score a double hat-trick against Manchester United just to spite me, isn’t he?
