🔴EOTK INSIDER: LFC vetting £40m Bissouma, Exclusive transfer news, JW Henry hates UEFA and more 🔴
Your weekly roundup, ad-free, from EOTK INSIDER ✍🏽
It’s the Friday before Manchester United v Liverpool - and never before has the buildup to this game felt so, meh.
That’s a sad thing to write - but it’s true. The late goal conceded against Newcastle (well, there were two actually) really took the wind out of our sails.
The Mentality Giants are no more - but you can see why. The early season injuries, consistently horrible VAR luck and a collective loss of confidence hit hard.
Now, we’re waiting until the summer - a summer in which we’re going to need to rebuild smartly before an attempt to climb to the top.
But Jurgen Klopp’s teams are always better when chasing a target - and there’s some exciting transfer developments on the horizon.
Exclusive: LFC are talking to Dusan Vlahovic and have shortlisted the 17-goal hitman
EOTK can exclusively reveal to our subscribers that we’ve sounded out Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic already. The Serbian has gone goal mad in 2021 and has lots of Ibrahimovic about him. Hopefully, he’s not quite as insufferable, as we’re not sure Klopp could deal with that kind of egomaniac in his changing room!
The vetting process has begun with Yves Bissouma of Brighton - he must now pass the character test…
There’s also genuine, significant interest in Yves Bissouma of Brighton. The midfielder has been a star on the south coast and is too good to fight relegation every season. Interestingly, we signed Gini Wijnaldum from Newcastle five years ago - aged 25 - and his potential replacement Bissouma - has many similarities at the same time.
Liverpool’s 2021/22 home kit… You’ll really like it you actually support Roma
Lots of fans care about new kits. Lots don’t care. But this is what the Reds will be playing in next season. It’s… Well, it’s Roma, isn’t it? Thoughts? Love it / despite it?!
JW Henry forced into ESL decision by UEFA’s pathetic ability to enforce FFP
JW Henry got savaged for his role in the ESL. And rightly so. Not running it by Klopp or the fans was criminal. It was stupid and disrespectful - but the man has been pushed into a corner by the fact we’re not competing on the level-ish playing field FFP promised then failed to deliver.
Tammy Abraham for £40m would be a bold, risky but intriguing potential transfer
Sturridge didn’t make the grade at Chelsea and was superb at Liverpool. With Mo Salah, it’s been like that x 10. Abraham is tall, a great finisher, physical and technically astute. Chelsea want to sell. Should Liverpool repeat the trick…?
