Bournemouth review
I feel a bit vindicated in how I thought the game would pan out; it wasn’t dissimilar to how I felt it would go down at the Vitality Stadium. I maybe didn’t think it would be 4-0 but certainly one in which Liverpool would have to suck up a bit of punishment and take their time to find a way into the game. Once they did and once they got that first goal they were pretty impressive in what was a dominant second-half performance and their biggest away win of the season. That’s probably something that slipped under the radar a little bit.
I feel like we’ve had conversations previously where we discussed the negatives around Liverpool and whether their run of form will last, but they’re top of the Premier League and they’re also top of the away Premier League table. We’ve had conversations before about away form and whether or not they can go away and win games like this, but they keep answering pretty much every question that gets asked of them and it’s good to see. It’s only January, but if you want to be putting yourself in a position to challenge for major trophies, then you couldn’t have done much more than Liverpool have in the opening 22 games of the season.
