It’s far, far nicer to bring you these snippets on the back of a win, Reds.
Last night, Liverpool downed Wolves 1-0, thanks to a Diogo Jota (nicknamed ‘The Slotter’ by Jamie Carragher on MNF) winner…
I’m not sure Carra entirely gets the implications, but there we are!
It wasn’t pretty, but when you consider the run we’ve been on, three points is three points is three points.
Jurgen Klopp’s side now sit five points behind fourth placed Chelsea - and the dream of an improbable Champions League finish is still alive…
Here are your biggest, best, funniest or most controversial LFC news bites from today:
Remember, this kid is only 20. He’s moved to a new league, in a team playing horribly - with various partners beside him.
But last night, he dealt with the behemoth that is Adama Traore expertly. Big things to come! His highlights are might impressive…
Thiago was literally a walking red-card when he was subbed off last night.. Yet he was the most confused a human has ever been upon seeing his no.6 on the 4th official’s board!
Mo Salah’s paddy the other night was worrying - this was just downright funny.
We knew Carra wasn’t the fastest, but we didn’t realise he was this slow!
On MNF yesterday evening, presenter Dave Jones played the video of Thierry Henry leaving our former centre-back FOR DEAD. Carra took it all in good spirits, of course!
Why does Harry Kane continually get away with stuff like THIS - when Mo Salah is treated entirely differently?
On a more serious tone… During the North London Derby, Harry Kane flew into an Arsenal player with his elbow. Nothing given. He does stuff like this all the time - but it seems to get less media coverage than Mo Salah’s ‘diving’.
Liverpool’s issue is that they should dive more - especially the permanently upright Sadio Mane! Go down, lad.
The new offside rule nearly caused a horrible, horrible injury last night - just like Klopp said it would…
Klopp predicted the new offside rule, where linos refuse to put their flag up would result in an injury. Last night, Rui Patricio got kneed in the head by his own player - Connor Coady - who was desperately trying to ‘get back’ in time.
Mo Salah was offside though - and the assistant knew it. If he was allowed to put his flag up straight away, EOTK doesn’t think it would have happened.
Thankfully, Rui is alright - but there was a 15 minute delay getting him off the pitch. Conversations need to be had.
No match now for 3 weeks. Gulp. Just when we’d turned a corner, too! Lots of transfer stories coming your way - as well as the best of the Reds on international duty.
Let’s just hope they come back fit, eh?
