With the last of this season’s international breaks now out of the way, it’s a straight sprint to the finish line for Liverpool, who are still chasing down the Premier League title in Jurgen Klopp’s final campaign at the club.

The Reds’ post-Easter commitments lessened slightly after their FA Cup elimination at the hands of Manchester United just under a fortnight ago, leaving them with only the top flight and the Europa League to focus upon over the next seven-and-a-half weeks.

They resume their season with a fixture which has proven quite problematic in recent years, with Brighton making the trip north to Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

It comes with the narrative of Roberto De Zerbi potentially making a significant impression on Liverpool’s CEO of Football Michael Edwards and sporting director Richard Hughes, with the Seagulls boss among the leading candidates to succeed Klopp in the dugout in L4.
