Following Fabrizio Romano’s latest update on Salah’s contract talks with Liverpool - breaking after the recording of this latest instalment of The Red Nets Podcast concluded - it would appear that we’re set for another contract rollercoaster.
It’s hard to imagine the Egyptian international ever leaving the club and we’d like to think that some solution will be reached.
Liverpool do have a clear structure they like to follow, however, which could mean that the unspeakable does occur either at the end of the season or when the 29-year-old’s contract runs out in the summer of 2023.
We’ll be keeping track of the story as it develops and will be back with plenty more debate when the next update comes.
