It’s that time of the week again, Reds…
The Premier League season is now back in full swing and Liverpool registered a convincing 3-0 win against Norwich City on the opening day.
Mo Salah dropped a masterclass, starting the new term as he ended the last one - showing the the rest of the country he’s the best around.
Two assists and a goal for the Egyptian at Carrow Road, reminiscent of some Luis Suarez performances on the East coast a few years back.
Strikes by Diogo Jota and Bobby Firmino ignited what should be a healthy battle between the two for a starting spot this season.
Up next for Liverpool is a return to a fan-filled Anfield, against Burnley, which will be a good physical test for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Club captain Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara are in contention to make their Reds returns this weekend after a few promising training sessions in Kirkby.
The duo were absent from Liverpool’s win over Norwich as they were slated to take part in a not-so-secret friendly at Anfield.
A 4-1 win over Aston Villa saw Curtis Jones, Kaide Gordon, Divock Origi and Neco Williams all get on the score-sheet.
Henderson and Thiago were “really good” in the game, and have continued to impress Klopp in training over the last week - while injured full-back Andy Robertson has since been seen spotted at the AXA Centre running around on the grass.

Contract talk is dominating headlines concerning Liverpool of late, as opposed to the monotonous transfer rumours, which is a nice change of pace.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Alisson and Virgil van Dijk have all put pen to paper on new long-term deals in recent weeks.
And it seems Salah and Henderson will soon be following suit, with reputable sources claiming the captain is close to signing off on new terms, while negotiations are ongoing for our No.11.
With the current climate seemingly accommodating high-profile, high-cost transfers, such as Jack Grealish, Jadon Sancho and Romelu Lukaku, it can be easy to get a little disgruntled with Liverpool’s lack of movement.
But the Reds’ starting team can go toe-to-toe with any XI in world football and signing our lads down on new, long-term deals is hugely important.
Put it this way, we don’t want a repeat of Gini Wijnaldum’s move this summer!

PSG may have just handed Liverpool an £18m solution this month
Julian Draxler has previously been linked with a move to Liverpool and has now been put in the transfer market window by Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain. With the Reds a little short on goal-scoring options up-front last term, barring Salah, it could be an unmissable opportunity for the suits at Anfield, if the boss wants reinforcements and is still hot on Draxler.
Virgil van Dijk shows Liverpool what they missed last season – and it’s not what you’d expect
Liverpool centre-half Virgil van Dijk completed his first 90-minute game since sustaining his horrific ACL injury last year - against Norwich - and he absolutely smashed it. Though, we’re not surprised at all - right? The Dutchman showed his worth to the Reds in more than just his defensive rigidness by putting in an impressive ball-playing performance.
